Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-11
By using www.it-knows-it.com (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What the Service is
IT Knows IT is a free, AI-assisted knowledge engine that retrieves information from third-party sources (Microsoft Learn, Apple Support, public YouTube content, community forums) and synthesizes step-by-step answers using Google Vertex AI. Answers are generated automatically and may contain errors.
Not professional advice
Answers are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional IT, legal, security, medical, or any other advice. Always verify critical operations (especially PowerShell commands, account changes, and destructive actions) against official vendor documentation before running them in production.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass rate limits.
- Submit confidential third-party data you are not authorized to share.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Interfere with the Service's operation or the experience of other users.
Source attribution
Every answer cites the sources it was synthesized from. Those sources remain the intellectual property of their respective owners (Microsoft, Apple, etc.) and are governed by their own terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party content surfaced in our answers.
Service availability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uptime, answer accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IT Knows IT and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or reliance on generated answers.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
